  Our current volunteer workers:

"The Lighthouse People", Bob and Sandra Shanklin:
They have photographed every lighthouse in the U.S.

Tom & Darlene Chisholm:
Tom and Darlene are retired school teachers and world travelers.
They have photographed over 1300 lighthouses all over the world.  They
love lighthouses and want to promote the lighthouses of the U.S. and
help save their history.  They have helped scan archival photos in Washington D.C.
and in San Francisco at the U.S. Lighthouse Society.

Colleen Turner:
Just recently a "Lighthouse Person", she had to retire early from the workforce, due to physical disabilities.
She has helped scan photos in Washington D.C. and is ready and willing
to travel to other locations to retrieve historical photos.  She is also the website designer
for this site.

This page shows our volunteer crew at work at the U.S. Lighthouse Society, Nov. 2006.

The four of us, Bob & Sandra Shanklin, Tom & Darlene Chisholm,
scanned nearly 2000 archival photos from their files.
Colleen Turner, our website designer and also a researcher,
is shown below.  We will be adding more photos later, showing our work
at the Coast Guard Historian's Office.

Darlene is the librarian of the group.

After the scanning is done and we have returned home, the real work starts:
hundreds and hundreds of hours, renaming the files and working on them,
cataloguing them and making new cds and copy cds.
